Geriatrics & Palliative Medicine at Brown Medicine

Brown Medicine’s Division of Geriatrics & Palliative Medicine delivers high-quality comprehensive care, to adults 65 and over, in a variety of settings. Our doctors have expertise in the evaluation and management of dementia, urinary incontinence, falls, gait and balance problems, frailty and patients with multiple medical problems. We strive to keep our patients as vigorous as possible through a variety of health promoting and disease preventing interventions.

The division of Geriatrics is committed to combining excellent patient care with medical education and research devoted to the well being of older persons. Our doctors have full-time academic appointments in the Alpert Medical School of Brown University and specialized training in geriatrics and palliative medicine. The division maintains an outpatient and long-term care practice, and provides inpatient geriatrics consultation services at Rhode Island and The Miriam Hospitals.
